Missed celebrations, gatherings and connections have prompted a nostalgic nod to past adventures from Turtledove London, with a look back at favourite memories inspiring the brand’s new s/s 22 collection.

A colour palette of new neutrals with black, terracotta, sea and sage work back with previous collections; therefore increasing longevity for past pieces. Drawing on nature, the earthy undertones are available for both boys and girls and have a retro 70s feel.

New Characters are the creatures encountered on family holidays, including seahorses, crocodiles, leopards and Mr Panda. Closer to home, the mixed weather days are reflected in new Jacquard designs and graphic motifs.

Summer gatherings sharing favourite foods inspire the woven picnic check and seeds patterns. The rainbow also remains as an emblem of our lockdown days and brighter times ahead.

Remixing past trends is another key look for the season.

The brand’s s/s 22 logos have a retro look, a reminder of happy times and sweet hellos. This nostalgia reflects in colour-blocked T-shirts and sweatshirt styles for mix and match leisurewear, a growing product category for kids.

New for this season, seahorse print swimwear brings an alternative dimension to the collection. All in recycled nylons, this eco fabric brings new life to materials destined for landfill. The fabric has also been independently tested and has a UPV rating of 50+. Choose from all-in-one surf suits and costumes or mix and match the coordinating separates.

Following Turtledove London’s successful rainwear launch, this season sees the addition of backpacks.

Perfect for nursery, school and day trips, the backpacks coordinate with the brand’s raincoats and are made from recycled single-use plastics. Each raincoat utilises around 28 bottles and each backpack removes 16 bottles from environmental waste.

For sunnier days, short playsets are a new addition. Designed for summer playdates, they also make great loungewear or sleep sets to maximise wear, whatever the weather. New gauze fabric in neutral pumice shades is available for long summer days. The GOTS certified organic fabric brings the soft structure trend to kids’ dressing and provides an update for sustainable wardrobes. Each piece can layer up over separates for cooler weather and seasonless dressing.

Dungarees remain the brand’s bestselling style, with this season seeing the biggest collection to date.

Printed rib options are new for s/s 22, giving a fresh aesthetic for the warmer months. The dungarees are a year-round style solution, suitable to wear alone or layer up over tops when the weather cools.

Furthermore, an increased number of carry-over lines now feature. These represent Turtledove London’s bestselling pieces and its commitment to long lifestyle design classics to pass down to others.

In another step away from the fast fashion business model, Turtledove London has new additions to its Forever Loved Collection of year-round essentials for 0-8 years. Equally, despite the increases in raw organic yarn prices, the brand’s commitment to affordable, sustainable clothing remains the focus of its business.
